TROMA ENTERTAINMENT, INC.     WITCHCRAFT III:  SALEM’S GHOST

In the 18th Century, the next most popular thing to syphilis…were witches!

Dabble in the black arts with the Troma Team and director Joseph John Barmettler (Pure Danger, Riot, The Silencers) in the eighth installment of the Witchcraft series, Salem’s Ghost!  There couldn’t be a happier couple than the Dunaway’s.  Sonny (Lee Groeber) and his beautiful wife Mary Ann (Kim Kopf; Prison Planet, Secret Places, Strip Show) have just moved into their dream home.  They have vowed to fix it up together, make it theirs, and live happily ever after.  Who wouldn’t want that?  Unbeknownst to them,

the Dunaways have a roommate…and he’s pissed!  Sonny and Mary Ann also have neighbors, the eccentric Mitch (David Weills) and his wife Gale.  Mitch is a plumber, and offers a free inspection for a house-warming gift.  Upon his investigation of the nooks and crannies of the Dunaway home, he uncovers an ancient door that had been hidden behind an old wall.  The door looks like it has not been opened in hundreds of years, and is sealed with a very distinctive symbol…a pentagram!  Being a professor conveniently specializing in the history of black magic, Sonny warns Mitch not to open it.  But Mitch is a curious plumber, and knocks the door in anyway.  Inside he finds a haunting tomb faced with inscriptions, skeletons, and a mounted dagger in the shape of a crucifix.  He, of course, removes the crucifix to show Sonny, and simultaneously frees a long-entombed 18th Century warlock!  Mitch is unaware of whom he’s invited into the 20th Century, and what chaos lies ahead!

This gateway to an evil past unleashes sin and malice into the once pure, almost prude lives of the Dunaways.  Sonny and Mary Ann are reaching new heights in sexual adventure.  They are each sexually unbridled like never before.  A young, seductive student of Sonny’s throws herself on top of him in the school stairwell, but he resists her possessed charms.  That kind of behavior will get a young lady a week of detention! He becomes plagued by twisted hallucinations.  He is crucified on a pentagram watching Mary Ann engage in less than pure activities with the warlock.  He falls to the floor, and the dream is over.  Then, as if that’s not enough, impersonating the professor, the warlock seduces the promiscuous student.  Utterly frightened and confused, Sonny employs an Irish exorcist to assist in the matter.  The warlock’s aggression then becomes increasingly nasty and powerful.  He now physically attacks the terrified Dunaways, and takes Mitch the plumber under his possession.  The couple and the Irish exorcist battle the warlock and Evil Mitch the plumber in a conflict of good against pure evil!  However, it doesn’t seem like the forces of good and a pint of Guinness will triumph over evil this time.  Sonny and Mary Ann are about to give in, when Sonny remembers what must be the last possible weapon against the warlock…the dagger!  On their last legs, the exhausted, battered couple extinguishes the warlocks hellfire, and Evil Mitch the plumber plunges his last American Standard!  The couple does indeed live happily ever after.
